In 2011, shortly after my first experience of die cutting and joining the Spellbinders Design team, I started a blog and then craft classes. Those who read my blog chatter and came along to my classes (always heavily ladened with tea and cake) began to ask if they could buy the products. It was then a natural step into becoming a craft retailer. Little did I know how it would evolve, sometimes naivety is good!
I went from renting an office space, opening a high street shop and then in 2014, following family illness, I decided online was the way to go. The Hope & Chances’ woodland cabin was built. It’s a lovely space, although a tad chilly in the winter and very warm in the summer!
It wasn’t long before I knew I needed some help so ‘encouraged’ my sons to join me. Today, Hope & Chances is a fully family run business, myself at the helm primarily creating and with Mitchell and Elliott assisting with complex techy stuff and carrying boxes! Also, you can often see my Dad dropping off the post bags at the local Post Office and my Mum is the speediest die cutter I know.
We are most emphatic that we should offer a memorable online shopping experience. We provide FREE UK delivery, a loyalty scheme and a gift if your order is over £10. We realise it is your hard earned cash you are spending on crafty goodies so most importantly, we strive to keep our prices as low as possible. If you need to contact us you’ll be talking to one of the family and we will be friendly and efficient (although Bella our dog isn’t always the most communicative, especially on a Thursday).
